( Reuters) – La Liga strugglers Leganes did little to increase their survival quote as they played out a 0-0 make use of the road versus lowly Eibar at the Ipurua Municipal Arena on Thursday.
The best chance of the first half fell to Leganes forward Aitor Ruibal but his effort from the edge of the box was well saved by Marko Dmitrovic.
Eibar striker Kike rejected a glorious opportunity to break the deadlock in the 65 th minute when he sent his header from close quarters cruising over the crossbar.
Eibar are 15 th with 36 points, four clear of the relegation zone, while Leganes stayed second-bottom with 29 points, 6 points adrift of the security zone.
On the other hand, objectives from Cucho Hernandez and Takefusa Kubo gave Mallorca a much-needed 2-0 home victory over mid-table Levante.
Colombian forward Cucho powered a header past goalkeeper Aitor Fernandez in the 40 th minute to offer his side the lead prior to Japan forward Kubo sealed the victory with a well-taken objective in the 84 th minute.
Mallorca remained third-bottom however relocated to 32 points, three adrift of 17 th-placed Alaves, who have a video game in hand. (This story refiles to fixe typo in para 4)
