Omega x Alinghi Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Watch.
Omega and Swiss cruising brand Alinghi formed a partnership last year. While it’s already seen success on the water, with the team winning a GC32 world title last June, this is the first time it’s being leveraged for a wrist watch. The Omega x Alinghi Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon has several features inspired by boating, consisting of a specially embellished Calibre 1865 manual-winding motion. Its mainplate and barrel bridge are offered a honeycomb appearance with laser ablation to match Alinghi’s TF35 catamaran, while the exact same technology gives a black carbon pattern to the rest of the bridges. Alinghi’s logo design appears at the 6 o’clock subdial as well as the stop/start pusher. The subdial at 3 o’clock has a 4- or 5-minute tactical time display for accuracy on the water, the tachymeter scale is completed in Super-LumiNova for legibility, and the 44.25 mm black zirconium oxide ceramic case sits on a perforated black and red rubber strap.
